Even Easier Access to Jozankei from New Chitose Airport and Sapporo Station

Starting December 1, 2025, the timetable will be significantly revised, taking into consideration the convenience of both tourists and local residents.
Guests visiting Koganeyu Onsen, Jozankei Onsen, and Hoheikyo Onsen should use the convenient access routes ① or ②.

Route ① Take the Kappa Liner bus from Sapporo Station to Jozankei Onsen.
(60 minutes one way, reservations required)
⇒ Increased service to 8 round trips.

Route ② Makomanai Subway Station Becomes the New Gateway to Jozankei
⇒ Buses from Makomanai will run every 30 minutes. Additionally, a new service will be added to Hoheikyo Onsen.

[From Sapporo Station] → Subway → Makomanai Station → Bus → Jozankei Onsen (70 minutes one way)
[From New Chitose Airport] → Airport Shuttle Bus (HokutoKotsu) → Makomanai Station → Bus → Jozankei Onsen (approximately 120 minutes one way)

It’s now easier to access the direct bus from New Chitose Airport to Makomanai Station!
Jozankei is now much closer, with just one transfer from both Sapporo Station and New Chitose Airport.

Please note that due to the temporary closure of Sapporo Station Bus Terminal (formerly Esta) due to a district redevelopment project (scheduled to close until fiscal year 2028), the bus stop and alighting point for the Jozankei-bound bus have changed.
