About 800 cherry trees were planted in the “Koganeyu Sakura no Mori,” in one of the largest scale in Sapporo city. Around 600 of them are Ezo-yamazakura (Sargent’s cherry or North Japanese hill cherry) that grows almost double the height of Somei-Yoshino (Yoshino cherry). Bring your own lunch when it’s sunny!
